Sharow Parish  Council

About Sharow village

The Parish is located just to the east of the cathedral city of Ripon in North Yorkshire. The A61 runs from the west of the parish towards junction 50 of the A1(M). It is notable for St John's Church and the medieval Sharow Cross, which showed that pilgrims were within a mile of St Wilfrid's Cathedral. Sharow Cross was the first Yorkshire property to be donated to the National Trust, in 1900.
The village has its own primary school, and there are 464 registered electors on the 2017-18 electoral roll.

The next Parish Council meeting is:
Monday 20th March
at 7pm

at Sharow Village Hall
(off Dishforth Road by the Recreation Ground)
